Had my bike start for about 2 month but on a battery optimiser, took it outside to start it today and switched the ignition on and lights all came on, pressed the start button and it had a single click and all the lights and power went off, put a battery tester on it and it shows 13volt but when you put a charge through it then it drops to 0 volts,

Sounds like you need a new battery in any case, buy a new one, charge it as reccomended and go from there. Id imagine that would sort your problems.
