Hey guys!

Just had a seat cowel purchased, painted and then went to fit it...ohhh dear, i know i should have checked but it seems the grab handel is in the way. Something i stupidly didnt consider!!!

Has anyone removed it before and then fitted the locking mechanism back on? Its a 2001 L9 model. It seems to be the seat locking meachnism alan keyed onto the grab handel (tht secures it) so think if i take it off it would lower the locking mechanism?

Anyone done this mod? Please help!!

Hey guys..just noticed (after looking around the net) my model of zxr400 l9 didnt come with a grab rail which is like this;

As well as the little white spoiler bit..so im thinking it was an addition by the last owner taken from an older zxr model so should be fine to remove right?

yeh will be fine mate just undo the two screws holding on the lock mechanism and it'll come straight off.

oh and the lock will of course lower but shouldnt be a problem (wasnt for me )
