Hi this is my first post so a newbie. Bought my first bike today a ZXR-400H. 89 paid a grand and its a nice clean example. but need a new gear slelector and hanger there is one on ebay for a L model will this fit mine or not?? Any help would be great!!

I believe they are interchangeable (ie the bolting points to the frame are identical), but they are visibly different. I don't know if the position of the peg relative to the bolting points is the same on both.

Basically I think you'd be alright buying a pair from the wrong model, but I'd be wary of buying a single one unless someone can confirm that the peg positions are the same for both models.

Oh well cheers for that mate will give buy it anyway and fingers crossed if not can go back on ebay!!!

Yeah it does fit, and they also look different, but as deviant said not sure about the actualy positioning being the same, my feeling is they are. Let us know what happens!

H rearsets place the peg lower and further back than L's,

H on an L = good for tall folk,
L on an H = good for midgets with weird feet
