hey people this is a new one. will the front forks of a zx7r fit onto the front of the ZXR by replacing the headstock and its bearing's, because im sure that they wont fit into the normal yoke.

hopefully you can share some light otherwise it could be an expensive trial and error process.

needn't be expensive, get a zx7r headstock bearing and see if it fits then all you need is the rest if it does, if it don't fit you lose a bearing.

well the ZXR400 bearing sets are £36 EACH new so might be a tad expensive, if i could measure up the bearing for you i would. might be worth checking the part numbers tho, see if the ZXR400 and the ZX7R ones match up.

true, true. though if you look up the part numbers they will probally be differant becasue its how they work, for example on a pan the front disc pad will be exactly the same pad just with a differant part number ... just to confuse things. lol

but i shall have a look

thanks guys

I dont think they use different part numbers for the same part just cos its from a different bike :smt017

I bought a clutch lever off of ebay for my ZXR, i thought they sent me the wrong one so went to my dealer and they checked the part number for me telling me that it fits er5, zxr400 etc etc....

its not the part number of the bearing you need its just the actual bearing number eg 6016 2rs

although of course you won't have a rubber sealed radial ball bearing in your headstock....
