Smaller tyres (odd I know)

Has anyone here ever run a 150 rear on their ZXR and if so was it with the original 120 front tyre or did you downsize to a 110, and what does it do to the handling

There reason I ask is that I am currently fitting a pair of ZXR weels to my Zephyr 550, but the largest tyre I can really get in is a 150 rear, but I know the rim is sized to take a 160 so would like any thoughts or advice. As far as I can tell 150's are matched with 110 fronts but I don't want to down size the front too

I'm lost in a world of tyre confusion, please help

150 rears are horrible for the road

had a 150 on the back of my L1 when i bought it ..

wasnt bad actually .. different "feel" to the bike, but not bad at all ...

the rear wheel is actually a tad too small for a 160 tyre anyway (over-tyred as stock) so that wont be an issue.. try it ..

Which size front did you have on zim? The std 120 tyre?

yeh, 120/60/17 up front..

main thing is to re-adjust the ride height to compensate for the backend being a bit lower, either crank the back up or lower the front ..

The suspension will need resetting anyway as the ZXR front end will change the Zephyr front end height, I'll adjust the suspension and height once I know what I'm dealing with.

I'll stick with the 120 front then, I was wondering if I'd need to downsize to a 110, but again that'll be something I won't know 100% till i get it on and ride it

Thanks for the info chaps
