Hi,

Not currently looking at my bike, but as I remember the speedo cable attaches to the bottom of the left fork leg and not to the engine (shoot me down if I, wrong).

Should be a pickup/sender unit between the left fork leg and the wheel spindle, which the calble screws into, cable then runs up the inside of the fairing and connects with screw connection into the speedo.

Hope that helps

Rob.

thats spot on mate, thanks very much

had been looking all over today for it . had the platsics and tank off looking for the thing

seems the stupid twats at the 0place i bought the cabel, has sent me the wrong one, its well to long unless i havent threaded it through properly, but it does seem to long

a wouldnt care but it even had on the wrapping zxr400 l model ?????

dont suppose it it will matter on converting from kmh to mph will it. mines a import and av just swapped round my jap speedo for a uk one, so will it be an accurate read on mph ???

Should be ok. They do look long but have to remember fork travel at full extension....also the speedo isnt checked on MOT's :smt002

How much did the speedo set you back?

The cable is usually alot longer, it threads through a plastic loop hole attatched to the mudguard :)

its got 35 000 miles on the clock, my old clocks have 17000 km on them

not bad at all if ya ask me

see it looks well long, a was looking for the loop on the mudguard, but theres just a hole where it plugs into

looks like a need one of them too :smt013
