zx400 is this going to be a problem ?

I noticed on my zx400 there is a noise difference from the engine when holding the clutch lever in while the bike is stationary , sounds like a possible clutch problem ?? sounds rougher then when the lever is left in normal position ?like a slight grinding or something ? any thoughts anyone ???

99% of zxr400s are like it mate so maybe this originated in the zx400? and decided to follow it on with the zxrs? if it was a zxr i'd say don't worry but i think they use pretty much the same engines dont they?

yeah ive been told they are pretty much the same other than an oil cooler and a few differences in the carbs ,, oh well if they all do it i dont have to worry !

Mine has that, and it's post full service, so either it's nothing to worry about, or Elliots are going to be having some very blue conversations with me in time.
