hi i have not long had my zxr serviced (major) its feels a lot better than when i brought it . but the engine seems a lil noisy , are zxrs engines quite noisy ?

plus when im riding it at about 4 - 6000 rpm i get a whistling soung coming from the right hand side of me and i put my finger on what it is , when i speed up the noise goes or if i change up and drop the revs. could this be the air intake?

also the bike seems quite sluggish at pull off seems i have to give it a lot of throttle to pull away clean other wise it gudders this mite be me tho i havent had a bike in a few years.

any help is appriciated

thanks kai

hello kai

ZXR engines are quite noisy as standard, if anything, if they dont make a noise something is up! Typical noise will be the clutch as well as the top end.

Whistling noise is a bit unusual but other people here can tell you weather thats normal is i havent ridden mine in 3 years, it could simply be as you say, the air intake.

Being quite sluggish to pull off is quite normal too, i dont know if you have had a bigger bike beforehand, but you tend to find people who have ridden bigger bikes find the ZXR a bit lame, especially down low where theres not alot of torque.
