Advice required on my H2

Finally got round to have someone look at the rattly top end on
my H2. Suspected it was the cam chain, but wanted it confirmed.
Took it to the best priced mechanic I could find, and have just been
quoted, roughly, £600-700....for a bike that cost £900.

They only do kits apparently, which contain top and bottom sprockets,
guides, chain tensioner. And to do all the guides, they'll obviously
need to drop the engine. So the kit is over £300, and at least the
same again in labour.

I've already replaced the tensioner, and have a new cam chain already,
I was just looking to get the chain fitted by someone who knew what
they were doing ie not me.

There's was no mention of knackered sprockets or guides, this just seems
to be normal practice when fitting a new chain.

Personally, it's at least £300 more than I'd hope to pay, so I wondered if any
of you guys have alternative suggestions.
If I had to ride it somewhere further afield to get it done cheaper, I'd still be
better off.
£300 for a kit of parts, I could get a replacement engine for that.

Cheers
