head gasket change, what about the clutch?

Hi guys and gals

Well i've changed the speedo drive as it had stopped working, so now its on to the head gasket. Basically the bike seems to be losing coolant and gaining oil, so that can only mean one thing (as there is no other leaks anywhere).

Not that changing a head gasket is a problem for me, but i wanted to ask some peeps advice on the clutch. Since i've noticed the whole oil/coolant thing, the bike seems to need far more slippage of clutch and revs to get rolling forward. Once rolling there is no slippage of clutch when you change gears so i t may be my imagination. Obvioulsy the clutch sits in the oil (which is now an oil/water mix) and i was wondering whether this would now be contaminated and therefore need replcaing, or once the head has been done and after a few runs to get any last bits of water out, the water would have evaporated from the clutch plates. Thoughts please

Martin

clutch will probably be fine with some fresh oil.
