hi guys before i take of the left hand side engine casing think its called the generator cover. will there be oil in there and should there be oil in there and if there is oil in there is something knackered

Yup, make sure you drain the oil first, and place the tray under while you unscrew it just incase

yep its meant to be in there, as oli said make sure you put a drain tray underneath as you take it off, or you will get oil everywhere!

You guys sure because i'm sure there isnt suppose to be oil in there because if there was wouldn't the alternator coil winders short and blow up ?

Definately oil in there mate, the coil is a sealed unit.
