my bike has started making a knocking noise quite badly and its coming from the top of the engine. any ideas as to what it is, the bike has done 22k, is there any common problems to check for around this mileage???

Theres the head gasket to check around that mileage but wont cause a knocking sound unless the gasket has gone causing it to overheat and fry the cams!

Sounds like they may just need adjusting mate
