ok so my rocker cover gasket is leaking slightly.
if i get some gasket sealant or silicone, is it just a matter of removing the top 4/8 bolts, taking the rocker cover off and sealing the whole cover with sealant?
also ive got another oil leak from a pipe that goes from what looks like the rocker cover down past the coolant tank, and passes where the cable guide for the clutch is? any idea what it is?
i will get some pictures later

4 bolts hold the rocker cover in place and yes if the leak is a minor one a little sealant will fix it. Don't forget the seals on the spark plug access holes.
The oil feed pipe has a little "o" ring seal any good car parts place should be able to supply you with one the same size

Is that the resuable rubber gasket?
To be honest mate they aren't much to replace and saves having to do the job twice if the rubber is on the way out.

so the rubber o ring is at the top of the pipe, because the oil is leaking at the top then running down the pipe. is it just a matter of undoing the allen key bolt, taking the pipe off, replacing the o ring then just putting it all back together?
and does anyone know where i can get the rocker cover gasket?
cheers

yes just take the allen bolt out and replace the o ring you may get a little oil coming out when you take it apart but not much. Make sure you do not overtighten it
For all zxr400 parts try
