Fuel in Oil

So, I have a zxr 400, needs tlc, before I got it someone slid down a road on it, at first thought was only cosmetic damage but now we have found fuel in the oil 
Any ideas? We have come up with a few, crack in the block, a float in the carb might be stuck, hole in a seal?? Anyway, any good advice is always welcome
