Wet around clutch and rocker cover

Further to my other threads! I'm going through everything I think I need to replace/renew and oil and coolant is on the list so off came the plastics. I've taken a few pics as I don't know if I should be concerned about the wetness. The bike has done approx 9600 miles and is a 1994 L4 model.

Clutch side:

Rocker cover front (a difficult area to take a good picture. It's quite wet all along and some 'build-up'):

Generator side:

Sorry, I forgot to rotate the large pics!

I've never done anything like valve clearances but will have a go if you think the cover's got to come off/they should be checked. The bike was last properly serviced [by a garage] a few thousand miles ago. Since then it's been oil, filters and plugs changed once and mostly mothballed in the garage.

Thanks in advance!

Looks like you might have a tiny leak but nothing major. Id give it all a clean and just keep an eye on the oil level (as you should) and where the leaks look to be. If theres any more leakage it will reveal itself on the clean surface.

Thanks. Will clean it up and see how it goes. Not noticed the oil drop much in level so hopefully OK.

Mine leaks/leaked in the same places, it'll be the cam cover gasket or the drain holes for the spark plugs
