just about to start the rebuild on my zxr l3 engine as im competing in sub64 class F400 next season, the engine runs ok but seems a little sluggish and smokes a bit. Whats the usual cause of this? Valve stem oil seals/piston rings? what clearances/parts should i be checking and is there anything else i should be doing while its this far stripped?

Hi, did you get anywhere with this problem? Mine's the same, been sat in a salvage yard for 2 years with 10000 miles.
