Hi guys
I'm no stranger to working on engines generally but it's my first zxr400 HG replacement,
After removing the head I noticed that two of the head bolts are about 6mm longer than the others
Can someone please tell me which number holes they came from as I thought they were all the same and didn't make a note
Cheers Darren - TG

Cheers Darren

If you look at the exploded view here
http://www.zxrworld.co.uk/Manuals/H%20M ... er%204.pdf it shows 6mm and 8mm bolts. The 6mm seem to go in the middle of the head with an allen top to them.
Is this what you were looking for?

Thanks for the reply but no, there are 10 cylinder head bolts that have a 12mm hex head, two of these are slightly longer than the other eight but I'm not sure of where these two longer bolts fit
I hope this makes sense
Cheers Darren

http://www.zxrworld.co.uk/Manuals/L%20M ... er%204.pdf
page 4-2 the exploded view bottom left corner, diagram just above where it says uk : uk and l4-l5 models in that diagram the bolts marked c are your 2 longer ones, confused me when i rebuilt mine last year
