				Hi guys!
I am not a new guy but i dont write a lot!
I just watch silently those useful things you guys write!
But i want your help-opinion!
When i shift 1st-2nd gear it gets into neutral and if f@cking happens often....
The coclucion is that it happens when the bike is HOT
With the bike just warmed up i feel the lever good but when the bike is HOT (etc messing around in traffic) i feel the lever stiff
This happens
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1A8cCTmVCk
The only difference is that i am launching it waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better

I tried MOTUL 5100/5000 10-40 and 15-50 and right know i have belray thumper 10-40 with about 2000 km
The bike doesn't have any problems and when i turn it off while rolling with every gear in the gearbox i DONT HEAR any noises so i think if there is a problem this will be the forks or the drum

Thanks in advance guys!

How many miles has it done? Low mileage ZXR's tend to have that problem so i wouldnt worry about it. Worst bit is when your trying get it to go into 2nd and all you hear is clkclkclcklcklck crucnch!! I used to just wait for the revs to drop to idle speed and then it goes into 2nd with hardly any effort.
It might be worth checking that your clutch cable is properly adjusted and also your gear lever. Perhaps give the gear lever a bit of wd40 at the ball joints
Otherwise, just keep riding and it will get better with mileage.

				Thanx for your reply mate!
It has about 52000 km or 33000 miles
If i let the rpm to go idle i have to slow down too if i dont slow down i can't get it into second if i dont synchronise the rpms to the speed i am going...
My clutch is just ok!
Checked a lot of times

Thats unusuall for that mileage but like i say, perhaps you just need to adjust your gear lever or maybe even the chain as this can affect the gear change.

My lever height is just ok...
I do not wanna lower it because i dont like it when i downshift!
I Also feel tha lever height is ok
I have to say that i was driving my father's cbf a LOT i didn't have any problems NEVER
Now my chain needs to be replaced immediatly so are my sprockets...
Do you think that it will affect gear changing??
(p.s if i change my chain and my sprockets i will gear it at 14-45)

IF they are worn and the chain isnt adjusted properly then yes it can have some effect on the gear change. The adjustment in particular ive found in my own experience has the biggest effect on how the gear change feels.

I'm not going to comment on this specfic issue.........but as a general rule I have found ZXR 400 gear boxes to be almost indestuctable.............I've never seen any kind of serious wear in 12 years of racing them

Thanks for your hopefull reply !

Maybe my gearbox doesn't have any problem and maybe it's just me or the height of the gear lever...
I will check it out soon...
