Tick Over Revs

Hi got a ZXR400 L2 Jap Import and just woundered what the tick over should be on the rev counter when warm 
1,150rpm + /- 50
But also set it too where the bike is happy to rev at, the clock can be a little out so if it says 1,000 and it's fine leave it at that.
