Wet and dry choke

Hello, had my carbs vapour blasted and ultrasoniced . Came back looking great, fitted to the bike and fired up first time.

I then noticed that my choke plungers were jammed open. After removing the carbs i wasn't even able to close them by hand. I managed to pull one out, it was heavily scored.

The problem is within the "choke tunnel" not the plungers. Could anyone see any issue with me stuffing some fine wet n dry through the tunnels to try and stop whatever is scratching and jamming them open?

You mean the tunnel that goes into the carb Venturi? If so then i don't see a problem as long as it's just to smooth it out a bit, however you might have debris in the brass pipes that go from the float bowl to the choke...I.e. you won't get any fuel flowing with the choke open...Just more air.

Sorry wasn't very clear. I mean we're the actual choke plungers and spring go. I managed to remove them but they were jammed in solid.

I'll sand the plungers and where they slide into on the carb
