Just for info

Haven't been on for a long time and for that apologies.
Had an L3 that had some issues regarding cam chain etc, but managed to get that all sorted, but I could never get the hanging revs to disappear. Replaced the inlet rubbers etc and richened the mixture up, still no joy.
Now I have an L9 and the revs were beginning to hang a tad. Richened it up and it made it far worse.
Started searching the net and came across a forum about motocross bikes and some chap on there had hanging revs and the advice to him was that more than likely it was running lean, but it could also be the problem of running too rich.
So back out ot both bikes and leaned both mixtures down, and what do ya know, hanging revs disappear.
So yes it may be too lean, have an air leak or the inlet rubbers are leaking,
but just maybe its running a bit rich as well. Worth a thought!
