as title says, still trying to get my bike working(spark) and i tested my CDI and the replacement one on a working bike L9 ; dead; now I'm not sure if the L9 should of started with a H1 CDI .If it should then my CDI(both ) are dead

the replacement one i bought it from a member in here and did the testing as per manual and the 3 pins witch connects the wires that go to the ignition coils(red, green, black are dead ) no resistance values on those pins therefore no power to the coils ,

You'll also need the rotor off an H model as well - but I kinda thought the block connectors were different for going into the CDI too :smt017

As far as im aware they dont swap at all. And im sure its because they have different looms.

RobB is right, the looms are different. The H CDI has 4 pins in the larger connector, the L has 6

Although the plug shape may be the same, the actual available connector pins within it may be different. There are one or two connector blocks in the loom on a ZXR that i can think of where the some of the connectors pins are reduntant and arent used.
