Have you made sure your connection to the kill switch is good? My mate bought a non-runner off Fleabay and it had lots of gak in the killswitch bi, WD40 cleaned it up and it was running.

£470 for the bike, 1 can WD40 and he had an up and running near mint RVF400.

I was so jealous.

Reading Rauls first post that could be a good idea!

Raul - did you just buy the wiring and connectors for the loom - i.e. did you plug everything else in that was still on the bike like the sidestand switch, starter solenoid, ignition barrel etc? Any of those three could stop any starting if they're at fault and will probably be cheap fixes!

-i bought a second hand ,in very good condition loom ,removed/unplugged mine and swapped over, as i did it i cleaned and greased plugs, contacts
-the kill switch was first think i made sure it works and went over it about 3 times , it spins but wont produce spark (all 4) one still out at the moment as i was still going over things
-the reason i said to try the cdi on a running bike will eliminate it knowing 100% works as well as the fuse box , i believe these 2 are main key in the ignition circuit ,eliminating these 2 remains the coils which i measured them with a multi meeter and got the right readings on the primary windings but nothing on the secondary windings (can't be sure as the manual says to use a Kawasaki test tool )
-at the back of the coils also measured the 4 wires for voltage (spinning ) and get voltage on the 2 reds but black and green are dead , they coming from the cdi and the black is connected tho the fuse box as well via main loom

-if any one up there has a running bike i come to you , is just a mater of unplugging the cdi an try mine,, come on guys any one?
