Go with something worse than a sore ankle, more serious your injury the more urgent you are the sooner you will get seen

For my rugby injuries, I find Monday to Thursday after 6pm. Take some ibuprofen/ painkillers before you go, then the treage nurse assess you quicker as the first thing they ask is "have you taken painkillers"
If not, then they give you some and make you wait an hour first.
Sunday before Last, I went in at 5.45pm and out post x-ray and slinged and cocodamolled up by 7pm.
Prior to that, fell off my bike on weds am, rugby tackle and scrum training weds pm. Next day at work my boss said to go to hospital on my way home. Went home, watched neighbors, had some din-dins and painkillers - to the hospital for 6.15pm, out by 7.30pm on a thursday
Both times I've had broken collarbone (one on each now).
