Second time around after failing my 1st on 19 Mar ....... only 2 minors, a perfect U turn (this time) and a big blue certificate in my mitts.
Had to go to King's Lynn for my test but it was worth it, how happy am I, now I can pick my bike up.

Cheers folks, it was a really nervous day, especially leading up to the u turn, but I just took your advice and rode like it was a normally day riding. Still got plenty to learn, especially counter steering at speed but I'm sure the confdence will come with experience and road use. Would a track day be of any benefit?
Many thanks Paul

I think most people would agree it is, its fantastic for getting to know what your bike can do/improving riding skills as well as being the most fun you can have with your clothes on lol.

My first track experience was on a CBR600 at a Ron Haslam race school at donington. It was well worth the £250 odd it cost. It was very useful and they supply bikes and kit too, if you need it.
I have only done a couple of track days since,as I live way away from any circuits. I think nerves have always gotten the better of me when using my own bike at tracks though because it cost me lots when I binned my ZXR400.

wp - I would denfinately use the providers bike rather than my own, at least until I know how to semi control a machine at more than 50 mph around a bend.
