oh yeah - it was def the alarm causing the problem - not had an issue since, started first time everytime - going to invest in an optimate so that i can re-connect the alarm especially as i want to get the auto ignition switch from the fob !

i doubt the optimate will help if you rode from yours to maccies by mine and it wouldn't start by the time i got to you.

i had a lot of trouble with my alarm draining battery, not even the opimate could save it

turned out the battery was fecked.

maybe your battery needs replacing?

well ive just got back from a week away - bike wasnt used, but as I wasnt about i reconnected the battery - after 8 days being sat with just the alarm i got a reading of 12.15 v from it - it turned over OK, but i have disconnected the alarm again as i dont want it dieing on me again !!!

if its dropping from 12.6 to 12.15 over the course of 8 days do you reckon it is the battery that wants replacing ?

i'd still stick to the alarm theory.

well the only other thing we changed was the fuel pipe - i was just thinking that maybe with a brand new battery in there the alarm might work OK and i can leave it connected all the time - being as you dont think the optimate would help !

any plans for any rides this week ?
