I sorted my clutch issue out was down to my side stand switch being disconnected, learnt that one wont do it again lol

Been out on it a few times now and noticed on my gear lever where it bolts onto the splined shaft that there is back and forth movement ( as though im trying to take it off) with the bolt fully tightend.

It just doesent look right surely it should sit nice and tight and not move ?

I had a similar issue on my GS500 and just lived with it as the bolt went through a groove so I knew it wouldn't come off. Off the top of my head, you could try using a small flat file to open the gap up on the gear lever so that it nips up tighter onto the shaft. Otherwise you may want to get a new lever. Have to give the caveat that this is only off the top of my head though, I'll have a look at my bike later to see if I can add anything to this!
