i dont know about that mate, i mean i've got 2 sets of leathers from HG - 1pc i out grew ... became a little festively plump after my car crash a couple years ago lol but paid around £250 for, trousers just about fit me but the jacket seems to have shrunk in length! have had that for about 7years, the other suit i've got i have had for 5 years and still great, no threading or anything like that, paid £200 for it as well

both still in relatively good nick, i'll keep wearing them til they no longer look like leathers!

i had a bad experience with my local hg a while ago. basically i was told id have to wait 2 days for a battery to come in. 5 days later i went in only to find they hadnt ordered it. i went to the halfords about 1/2 mile away and got a bosch battery £12 cheaper. went to gerikes to get a refund to be told i couldnt have it as i paid cash and they didnt have that sort of money in the till. £57?!?! they taking the piss?? they had to refund it to my card which wasnt good as natwest were having problems at that time. meh. i wont go back there if they are operating like that but if they are going to administration and selling stuff cheap i may reconsider....

ive never had a problem with my HG, they've always been fantastic and helpful - bought full kit from them before, boots lid leathers and they threw in £70 worth of gloves in for free - Arlen Ness ones too!

also ordered a set of Galfer wavies on my first H2, the first order came in wrong, they were sent a set of ZZR12 discs :S lol they ordered in a new set, the wrong ones are still on display in they're cabinet after 5years!

on my first set of leathers, the stitching came off on my trousers mid corner and i was basically riding legless - honestly dont know how! but went straight there and they replaced the trousers with a brand new set there and then!

tell me about it. the bloke also wanted to straight swap his 1997 zx6r for my 1997 zx7r. his 6r looked like multicoloured swapshop, er, i mean 'streetfighter' (aka he'd dropped it, taken the fairings off it and put a crap light on it). it had 63000 miles on it and 'serviced well regularly cos i work in a bike shop' the chain was rusty so to me it seemed he didnt maintain it too good. i used to work in a butchers but i wouldnt be able to break down a top bit or hind quarter though. i politely refused saying id rather wrap my hand in barbed wire and shove it up my butt than ride a piece of toad like that. he didnt seem too happy about that...

its a shame but its like ive always said, when in a recession luxuries go out the window.

for most in the UK bikes are a luxury.

a lot of smaller independents like Action dont sell in volume so have to keep prices high to pay for wages and premises.

Tesco's biz model has always been the best, stack em high and sell em cheap.

unfortunately demand for bikes will never gonna be massive so cant make work unless profit margins tiny!

gem

Me too! £10 for 4l and you got free postage if you spent over £25! :excited

If I could have used it in the car I'd have got 6 bottles!

Annnnnd... that's about all I've ever bought from them. So fk 'em!

As long as WEMoto and Ebay survive I'm ok. :smt002

went there today ''closeing down everything must go '' signs everywhere and its 20% off ok for bigger items but for a back protector (what i went down for) didnt really make much diffirents

asked my pal who works there and he said basicly they cant sell enough stock so the UK branch is going down under and they will be jobless ....that means more people signing on
