on my way home from a some what very fast ride, slowed down for a very nice corner where i always get my knee down, rad cap decided to release a load of pressure and allow the bike to piss itself all over the back wheel - hello mr high side! first one ever! dare i say it - FUN!

im fine, landed in a hedge as did my bike, friend behind me said i looked like superman flying through the air lol no damage what so ever apart from a blown head gasket, got home at 3am this morning, woke up a little sore, just as well i had physio really.

odd thing is there was no sign of my head gasket being fecked or anything like that, so must have happened while i was riding ... now i have reason to tune my engine being it needs a rebuild!!!

Lucky to get away with no damage! Onwards and upwards then!

very lucky to be fair but hey ho, now have to rebuild my engine ... going to be fun!!

coolant pipes
sump gasket

i just hope my bores aren't damaged and my clutch isn't contaminated!

so i got to stripping down the bike today

top of the pistons looking in a sorry state, need a good ol' clean, think the rings have seen better days as theres a little blow by down the skirts of the pistons

each bore looks pretty much like this!

she was running hot judging by the valves and the spark plugs, though last time i checked she was fine, so must have all happened while i was riding on that day i crashed, thank god nothing is completely mullered!!
