on/off reserve fuel switch

Hi i had to remove the on/off reserve fuel switch recently and when iv gone to put it back on i dont know which way to put it on iv read all the markings on the plastic switch and also the metal markings and i dont understand how it goes back, iv just fitted it back for now and thought if if i run the bike till it stops running i know which is reserve and whats not but i cant get the thing to run out of fuel lol

so if anyone can help it would be much appreciated thanks

It only goes on properly one way, there is a groove inside the plastic of the switch stem which aligns with a ridge on the metal tap shaft. If you've got it on any other way you've forced it.

if the plastic tap slid on with ease and was not FORCED on then you prob have got it right so there is NO problem


If you turn it fully clockwise you are on reserve one quarter turn anti clockwise from there is OFF and another quarter turn anti clockwise is ON
