Hi everybody! Im very new to the forum. Im about to go and pick up my L1 zxr400 today!! It doesnt have the restrictor kit, and i absolutely cannot for the life of me find anywhere to purchase them from. I am entirely against the idea of forking out £180 quid or so for 4 washers that i know can be made much cheaper! But before i try and go about it that way, i wander if anybody may have some that they are no longer using and could possibly sell to me etc? I would appreciate this hugely, thanks in advance for any help you can offer guys.

Mine cost £232 fitted, purchased from FI international. all i got for that was 4 washers, and a piece of blue paper telling me its power, Like Jimzxr400L1 said, it isnt really a certificate, just hassome info on. :/

ill sell you my washers for 100 quid lol

ive spoken to a few coppers and they said theres no certif or anything that will prove ur restricted.
the cops will always double check themselves anyway so a bit of paper isnt gunna stop them...

So i understand the hole should be 15.4mm. If i where to use a 16mm or a 15mm would it make much difference? All bikes put out different power anyway depending on the setup and even the way it was put together! Im just curious because i dont wana be riding around at 28bhp but equally want to avoid breaking the law and riding about on my bike thats 39 bhp. Any advice on this would be great.

thats a bit of a tuff one because if all people on this site got there bikes dyno tested i bet not a lot would be the same they loose power over time and who knows when there bike was last rebuilt what i can say i think im rite sum 1 say if im not if some ones bike made 60 bhp and some one bike made 50 bhp with the restrictors in they should both make the same in ''theory'' anyway but the plates go behind the carbs so when the mixture goes in its how the cylinder deals with i is what counts im blabering now anyway just get ure bike dynod when there in :smt003 http://www.dynojet.com/maps/bikedynos/england.htm ..........thats a list of the ones in uk i got quoted £30 for a bhp run

it might well be a little grey area where the law is concerned when being tested in that case but i dunno...

like as long as you have official restricters in with there own part number even if ur up by a couple of bhp u might get away with it.
depends what ur getting check for i would of thought?
obv if u get stopped for doing 120 then uve fitted the wrong restricters and u kno it lol so hard to explain that one...

personally i think the whole bloody thing is a stupid idea granted chances at death are higher at 110+ but only as dangerous as 50+ in my eyes lol
if u drive like a Camel then ur gunna get dead like a Camel lol simple as?
