just getting to know the bike and being that mine is an import, how would i know if it's restricted?

I haven't used the full rev range yet

The clocks are in KM and go up to 190kmh which is around 110mph?

I have a spare CDI which I bought off Ross? From here a few years ago, apparently its a derestricted one.

what the clocks go up to is irrelevant...............and we need to know what CDI box or boxes you have also does clock have a 3 wire connector block connected to the loom. One of the wires is pink

Information is everything

I'm presuming it's an H from your post?

There were Japan only so it should be a Japanese import and will go upto 180km/h and then stop unless it's been de-restricted.

Apart from the top speed, there are no other restrictions on the bike. You can disable the speed restriction by using an M-Max / Poshfirm etc de-restrictor box or modify the speedo unit itself.

The L's were available as european bikes but the clocks go upto 220 or 240km/h (can't remember which) but they wern't restricted.

The Japanese L's were also in Km/h (180) and also speed restricted like the H's.

If you try to disconnect the speedo restrictor without using a magic-box your revs will become limited to 10,000rpm.. this is to stop you going faster than 180kp/h.

From your pictures you have the de-restrcitor box there already :D so nothing to do!!

The connector that is 'spare' comes from the speedometer.. this is the restrictor... usually it plugs into the loom but instead you have magic box plugged in... this will allow the bike to rev past 180kp/h.

If you removed teh box you'd be able to plug the 'spare' connector into where the box was connected too and the bike would become limited again to 180kp/h.

If you remove the box and didn't connect the speedo up it would be limited to 10,000rpm in any gear.
