the insurance company got in touch with me, from there side,
theyve picked up my bike and its gone for full repair. they've given me a courtesy bike
(granted its a shitty CB250 but means no public transport)
and im getting 1,500 in damages cash lol

Hopefully while the garage is doing a full repair they won't strip the carbs off and find a lack of restrictor washers, otherwise you'll be getting £0 damages and a bill to sort it yourself. Depends whether the insurance company tell them to check. They do like to get out of paying up if they can.
Fingers crossed, eh

when/if they do they will find the restrictors in place! i had a friend fabricate some, hense why i was driving it again...i dont knowingly drive uninsured!

Well you didn't tell us that. Last time we heard from you you couldn't make up your mind what you were going to do. But top marks for getting the job done, just shows how you never know when you might regret not being legal.
Don't think your insurance covers you for track days, does it? I mean, it covers you for third party damage to some other dude (provided you are 'not racing') but I though if you decked your own bike you couldn't claim?

well i know its not a valid excuse the "sory officer i didnt know", but i thought not being restricted was like having a small number plate lol, i didn't realise it as driving uninsured, so i stopped as soon as i read that...glad i did since i crashed it to days after lol
and as for track days, mine doesnt so i wouldnt be covered if i tried that excuse and therefore put myself in more toad lol

i do now need a full fairing kit for my ZXR 400, but i want to stay with the candy red. any ideas or naes of places i could get please?!
the insurance company ave decided its a write off coz Kawasaki don't do the model any more, so i need to repair it myself...can any1 point me in the direction of a good company that will either fabricate some new fairing or paint some other fairing?

Yes, I thought they would write it off because any repairer will struggle to get bits. That doesn't mean it's unrepairable, far from it, just that a garage won't want to know.
I think you'll be very lucky indeed to get a candy red fairing. They weren't that common even back in the day. You'll need to get another in good condition and have it repainted. You'll have to take one of your candy red panels with you for the spray shop to work off to colour match. This company
http://www.dream-machine.co.uk/index.asp is the dog's bollox. Speak to them before doing anything. They may well be able to repair your existing plastics and respray them cheaper than it would cost you to buy replacements and respray. They've got an awesome reputation, you will not get a bad job done here.
