Sup dudes. Right, been riding my bike for a week now, and as much as i am loving it, I am not loving the 10 minutes it takes me to squeeze into my cheap crappy ebay bargain leathers everytime i want to ride lol. It's doing my head in! Its too much hassle if i just wanna nip out for 20 mins, etc.

I'm buying a new jacket as soon as i have a bit of spare dosh, but i need some pants to go with it. I was thinkin about gettin some of them Kevlar Jeans that have the knee protectors. Does anyone else use them? Or has anyone used them before? I quite like um coz theyr casual and easy for nippin to the shop or pub etc, but i'm not sure whether they are worth the money, protection wise (especially on a sportsbike).

What do you reckon?

For what it's worth, I don't rate them highly.

One of my friends bought some Draggin' Jeans to use on his bike. They looked great, and seemed to be fine, until we were playing rounders on the grass at one point, and he ran into a base, sliding on the knee of his jeans. At this point, the kevlar patch simply ripped away from the rest of the jeans, and it turned out that it wasn't patched over the top of the normal denim, but in fact was a square that had been cut out, and replaced with the kevlar knee section.

That was on grass, and with as much force as sliding yourself along the ground can produce.

I'd hate to think what would happen if that knee section came away from the rest of the jeans in an actual accident on tarmac.

Nice one mate. I don't know what surprises me more, the fact that they ripped on grass.... or the fact that you play rounders! haha! :smt003

The Draggin 'Next gen' might be more suited to you then, there 'seamless' and come with knee armour.. not cheap though.

Hey, I bat strictly for the home team. I think.

How exactly is it that that metaphor is supposed to work?
