hiya all,

I've been looking everywhere i know for the diameter of my exhaust gaskets without acctually taking my bloody exhaust off again. I need to get new gaskets but the local shop cant tell me the size i'll need or anything, they are pretty useless. None the less i call upon ur help again! Can anyone tell me the size (in mm) of the exhaust gaskets for the 1989 H1 model please?

sorry i dont no the size but....cradley kawaski will have some and wont need the size

i'm quite sure they are 40mm, but get kawasaki ones, i got cheap pattern coiled paper and they broke up, don't waste money like i did!

You should get a choice of copper or aluminium - copper are the 'regular' ones that most people use. As far as I know nobody has had any complaints about the aluminium ones so they do the job just as well.

You'll be looking around £2 each at Kwak prices...

I'd also recommend buying 8 new studs as well. If you don't break any getting them off the first time it's a miracle, and it'll make it slightly easier if you need to take them out in the future if you've put shiny new ones in!

Feck that's harsh!

Wemoto.com do them for the L's at £1.25 each. It might be worth ringing them...

I'd check sizes in my manual but it's buried under redecorating stuff at the moment.

i got 4 aluminium gaskets for £6 VAT included. Fixed the lovely blowing problem and no i didnt snap any studs although admitadly the nuts were ceased on the studs and when i undone it i removed the studs from the engine. they soon went back into place easy enough though. Next job is to get a MPH speedo and new cable, then fix the god awful job of wiring that the previous owner has done on my front end wiring loom :smt013

You want a MPH speedo......................I have one and it is available
