Hi,
Does anyone here know if it's possible to stick a UK loom onto a Grey import zxr? I currently have a UK-CDI unit, UK headlight and UK Clocks. What I wanna know is, If I hook up a UK Loom and switch gear, will my bike still function perfectly?
Regards
Rich

Hi there,
You need to be careful as not all looms are identical - We used a grey loom on a Uk bike and the left handlebar loom connector was very different. Both looms and bikes were L models.

was probably the right, since on uk bikes the switch for the head lights is there, and on some imports (like mine) it hasnt got one and the headlight comes on with the engine starting.

Hi there, have re read the post and I assume you mean the whole loom, which also would include the sub looms for switchgear and the front lighting subloom, rear etc, all the way down to the bulb holders for the instrument lights, fusebox, ignition switch loom....In which case it should all fit ! They all have the push connectors in the same place for neutral light, oil pressure etc...Possibly the rad temp switch is closer to the frame on an H as the rad is much smaller, and the L switch is at the bottom, as long as you have the same model loom.....
In reality, Kawasaki made several diffent specs of each model ...H and L , then L1 to L9, then slightly different specs of L1 - L3 for Europe etc etc etc... and sometimes there are tiny differences for no apparent reason. For example, the inlet rubbers were shorter on an L1 -L3 than on L4 onwards !
I suppose you'll just have to try...
