Valve spring compressor

There seems to be more and more members appearing that are racing the ZXR400 so i've created a special section just for you to show off results, discuss meets etc etc.

Hi, Whats the best spring compressor to use to remove the valves on a zxr ?

Try getting one that uses adaptors on both sides - looks like a big G clamp with screw tightners both sides.

I had looked at a the type that compresses in one movement but found the static head to big to sit on the valves properly
Nothing worse than having an H and not being able to scratch it !

Can speak for the quaility but it look neat and easy to use with lots of different sized fittings

Almost identical to the one i have and does the job well.

The Syke's is a good make and the static head looks like it could be small enough for the inlet valves - ask the seller to measure the diameter of it, I can soon tell you what the valves are in the ZXR head. Same type I was looking at but couldn't get the pad small enough for this use but was OK for the car.

I just got the kit of the ebay link, fits pretty good and came within 3 days, not bad for the price. biggrin
