I think i'm missing bits from my front calipers ie there is nothing other than the retaining pin
should there be a dust cover and anything on the pads between the piston and the pad? It would really help if anyone has a pic of what it should look like.

have a look at this microfiche you will see the calipers including retaining pin and R clip and dust covers.

the part numbers on the microfiches aren't complete part numbers so Cradley probably wont be able to recognise what your after, if you email them a copy of the microfiche and quote the part number they should be able to quote you the correct full part number and P&D

they are like a springy piece of metal which holds the pads in place and stops them rattling, you should be smearing copper grease on the back of the pads too.

there's a pin that goes through the pads to stop them falling out, the anti rattle covers are there to stop them rattling clever eh and the grease stops corrosion and sticking to the pistons, also stops them squealing.
