My ZXR is on it's way back!

Post by jonesyiom »

Well my ZXR will be on its way back to the IoM next week.
It looks like the main jobs have been carried out so what I asked for is what I’m getting and I can’t ask for more than that.

Work carried out is a closely guarded secret but it’s 100% legal and it should do the job, all that’s needed now is a rider to do it justice.
In all honesty, when I say “closely guarded” I actually mean I’ve forgotten what I asked for…I’ll post the spec sheet as soon as I list it down.

Gotta say a mega big thanks to Roger Middleton (RMKD) for stepping up to the mark once more and delivering the goods.
Last years bike was a cracker but this years is gonna be even better.

One thing I will say is that Roger has knocked me up an extra large fairing. I’m 6’2” so the standard fairing coupled with my height is basically an aero-dynamical disaster.

My first meeting out on her will be the 9th June Post TT races at the S100.

It may not look the prettiest bike on the grid as I need to get it sprayed (moneys tighter that a otters pocket) but in saying that, I’m no oil paining either and I can run faster than most…when am running it’s usually proceeded by “Oi!...Stop…This is the Police!”

I’d also like to say a big thanks to Chris Petty who is bringing my bike back to the IoM for me. Thanks Chris It’s greatly appreciated.

Once she’s back here I’ll take a few pics and load them onto Facebook (Adam Jones) for all to see.

During the season I’ll attempt to keep the forum updated with road race progress, whimsical anecdotes’ and general stories of amusement.

So, here’s to a safe, tidy and thoroughly enjoyable 2012 and good luck, stay safe to all my fellow ZXR 400 racers and racers alike.

All the breast

Is that a good idea? :pmsl

I'll be at the 9th June meeting all being well, probably watching from Church Bends. I'll look out for something similar and give you a wave.

Might get it sprayed Black and White and go for a "no Limits" theme.
Riding in the TT, riding in the TT, riding in the TT...... cuz they've ruined the MGP, Oi!

If I see ya I'll wave back....
