KDMC 2010
Just thought Id let the guys on here that race with KDMC know that the prices have gone up to £165 for a single day meeting. And no prize money is getting paid anymore for non Scottish championship classes.
Melville is staying the same £190 for weekend.

To pricey for me then unfortunately; unless I get sponsorship it'll be the North East and Melville meetings for me. Looking forward to Croft, fingers crossed the bike’ll be back in one piece by then.

You know my feelings on that lot Robbie, every one of them a :wanker and I certainly won't be paying £165 to be treated like SH**!

Re: KDMC 2010
How is kdmc £165 for a day but Melville is £190 for the weekend? Does Melville do prize money?

Re: KDMC 2010
Kdmc was £130 for single day last.but with price rises etc they have had to raise the entry fees. The reason they are dearer than Melville is they have to hire Knockhill circuit £8500 ish for a day.medical cover etc etc they say they need £18000 just to break even for a one day meet.Melville only have to pay the farmer About £1000 then there med cover etc etc.So they dont have to pay out as much. And yes they are still doing prize money this year.

Makes sense I suppose, being a BSB track & all! It's the top 15 guys that get prize money isn't it? Not that Im thinking of getting any of it, Ive got a standard bike & no racing experience! I'm aiming for 34th! Lol

Re: KDMC 2010
I'm still confused. When North East and Melville head up to Knockers it's still £190 for the weekend isn't it?
Maybe better haggling required from KDMC?

Re: KDMC 2010
Dont qoute me on this but pretty sure a north east meet is £240 for weekend at knockers.Melville have never had a meet there. They were supposed to last year but pulled the plug.Oh and dont think north east pay prize money either.

You had better think higher as only 32 allowed on the grid at KnockersGeffro wrote:Makes sense I suppose, being a BSB track & all! It's the top 15 guys that get prize money isn't it? Not that Im thinking of getting any of it, Ive got a standard bike & no racing experience! I'm aiming for 34th! Lol

Re: KDMC 2010
Dont think there will be any trouble getting on.Grid is usually 20-25ish and bet it wont be as busy this year with the price hike. But if for any reason there was ever more than 32 it would just be done as you say.

Re: KDMC 2010
It would be when you got your race entry in.Not when you turn up to the meeting.

Wrong way round mate, it's EF that supply the power.
