You can check the straightness of the fork lowers by turning them round and holding the stantion, youll see if they are crooked as itll go up and down like a bent snooker cue. Hopefuly its just the yoke

You might need a new bottom bearing cup if that bearing is anything to go by!

Re: I'm Down.
i personally dont think anything is bent,
all of the bolts and front end were so loose, im just wondering i its feasible that the bottom bearing was fecked and the bottom yoke slipped backwards because of this?

Re: I'm Down.
The forks look fine to me and we measured the forks against the yoke stem with an electronic vernier gauge and its about by a whole 1 thou. For those that don't know thats about the thickness of a strand of hair.

Just waiting on parts now..
My pirelli supercorsa tyre is a 120/70, my old tyre was a 120/60. Could this explain the tyre/wheel looking close?

Re: I'm Down.
Progress is very slow and very annoying at the moment, parts are hard to get, taking a long time to arrive and i've also had the wrong seals sent to me whilst I'm rebuilding the calipers. I found a new wheel finally which is on its way, still have no fairing and no hope of finding a decent second hand one. I could by a blank (no paint) one for like 125 quid off ebay, but then ive got to add 50 quid for decals, probably the same again for primer paint and laquer then bolts and toad, theres 225 quid.
No pics as i havnt got much done, got the yoke in with the new bearings and seals, mocked up the new lines, started to rebuild the calipers and put the clocks back on and forks in situe. Can't really do anything else now till the wheel arrives and i sort my rearsets out.

Re: I'm Down.
u know u need a longer bolt, and one with about 1/2 inch of no thread up by the head?
if u struggle to find one, can u get your grandad to machine a sort of sleeve to sit at top of bolt?

I've got bolts in the garage that would fit, the standard foot rest bolts fit, its just that bit near the shoulder that wont allow the rearset to be tightend.

Re: I'm Down.
Its just one problem after another. I cannot get the front calipers to hold pressure, fluid is getting in as its coming out the bleed nipple, its not the lines, they move the pistons about 2 mil, I am ready to burn this bike, or sell it for £50. Honestly, I've had enough.
Oh well, off to work now.. Great!
