Stick Coil Mod - a how too , I hope !

Hello!

I know this is an old thread but I am trying the mod myself and I'm having some issues. It looks like the spark isn't strong enough to run the bike. I made sure to wire everything right using the diagram. I used a multimeter to make sure that the signal and 12v wires are right but it won't start.

- I checked each coil individually and they all spark
- If I only leave cylinder 1&2 or 3&4 connected the bike starts and runs okay, but not in all 4
- Changed spark plugs too
- I measured the coils impedance to 1.3Ohm per coil

I've had a chat with AI in an attempt to fix this.. it said that because of the impedance difference, the CDI needs to provide more current than it can via the igniters. An OEM plug has 2.5 - 3 Ohm whereas 2 Honda 2003-2005 coils in parralel measure to around 0.65 Ohm. I don't understand how nobody had this issue before me since this mod is so common.

Maybe I'm missing something obvious, maybe someone can point me in the right direction.
