Re: Zxr 400l 1991
Many thank my friend seems the problem might just be a corroded fuel tap. Not letting enough fuel through ,
Sorry people if I have sounded abrupt, but people really shouldn't judge others so quickly ,if you was selling something I would NEVER jump on your thread and tell you what it's worth .
It's just not on at all .
If you decide to sell your bike for 100000 it's your choice is it not ?
Thanks again

All we are doing is telling you what it is worth in the real world.

Since when has putting forward a real world offer, for a bike that you have advertised, been classed as intruding?CaNsA wrote:£300 quid, pick up during the week?

Re: Zxr 400l 1991
Look mate.
I've spent far more money on my zxr than I will ever get back if i sell it.
The rear shock is worth £650 alone.
Add that to the grand I've spent on fixing it up, the braided lines, the fireblade calipers and the price of the bike then the total amount on spent is in the region of 2500 > 3000 quid.
Do I think anyone is going to pay that for a running, mechanically spot on bike?
Not a chance.
What you think your bike is worth, and what it is actually worth are two totally different values.
I can't understand why you are trying to tell a bunch of seasoned zxr400 owners how much your bike is worth.

No mate what I am trying to do is sell it for as much as I can get ,is there anything wrong with that ?
A bike is worth as much as the highest bidder will pay yes

Re: Skins62's bike value discussion.
I think he has a point, a bike is worth what someone will pay for it, not a penny more. I believe this is something Cargo has stated many times when we get the 'whats it worth' posts. So to some £300 is the max they will pay for it, doesnt mean they are right or wrong, it just means they wont get the bike if someone thinks its worth more to them.
It sold on ebay for £670 (good price i thought), for what we should admit, is a running bike all be it not for very long, so perhaps our 'real world' estimates on here arent as accurate as we like to think?
