There seems to be more and more members appearing that are racing the ZXR400 so i've created a special section just for you to show off results, discuss meets etc etc.

Anybody ever used a 444cc kit for racing. Was it a big differance over std? how was reliability?

Hopefully your thinking of a suitable class that allows that capacity too....

I think you'd be better off getting the 2mm over pistons from Toecutter. There's a sticky at the top of the page. Much nicer pistons and lighter than the TTS kit.

That does make a difference. I've heard that they can be lightened too.

We run 444 kits here heaps in new Zealand, a STD z once 444ed gains 10hp. Not slot needs to be done, we shop peen the rods and balanace the crank but that's it. 10 rwhp comes just from the kit, STD carbs air box starter flywheel etc.

You can't run really tight piston to head clearance as the rods stretch a bit, I built mine my self easily and built 2 others, if you have any questions on them just ask, a fully worked 444 over here puts out over 90rwhp
