the odds of injury or death while riding on the road are higher.........................racing is actually safer ...............why ?

Nothing coming the other way

Nobody doing right turns in front of you

There is a lovely man with a flag to warn you of any danger including oil or rain

IF you do fall off there is a doctor there in less than 3 minutes.....................and the docs are supported by a fully equipped medical vehicle.

On the roads.............
You face traffic going both ways..........many of them blind

You have people turning left right and U turns.......

No warning of oil or diesel or any other potential hazzard

And if you do fall off you'll lie there dieing waiting for some poxy ambulance.............that could be 50 miles away............

I'll stick with racing

+1!!

and yeh all thats true about racing,
but speed is higher, granted all them things plus full leathers make it slightly safer, still its huge bigger risk!
and look at the video! running long nicely them bam! 40 ft in the air! with a bike on ya head!

That is a sequence of corners..............it goes left, right and left again.

I got in the first left too hot maybe a gear fast. I ran wide and hit the grass verge on the righ of the road there was no way to make the righ hander and as I fought to stay out of the grass the bike head heading out of control for the bank/take off ramp on the other side of the road.................estimated to be doing about 70 to 80 by the investigateing safety guy..............it was all over in a flash and I remember nothing after the impact that launched me.

the flag marshal had a mark on his forehead where one of the wheels hit him
