Need to Extend HT Leads for Ramair
I need to re-locate my coils due to fitting ramair, where is best to put them?. Also, Anyone know if u just use normal HT Leads that u can buy from car auto shops in 1m lengths or does the wee ZXR need something diferent. Cheers Derek 07825 908653

Re: Need to Extend HT Leads for Ramair
I replaced all my HT leads with standard copper cored stuff from the bike spares shop and it runs a treat, so deffo no special lead required.

Re: Need to Extend HT Leads for Ramair
would stick coils fit? I've converted my gpz to run on zx6r stick coils, works a treat. the only tricky part is kawasaki's odd water proof connectors, so buy the little sub-loom to go with them, then solder it up directly to the low tension inputs for the coils. saves alot of space, and gives good spark, but the sticks are a little taller than normal caps, maybe 1.5 inch out the top of the head?
I do 700 miles a week in all weathers including snow, that's roughly 35,000 miles a year, and some weekend warrior biker has the nerve to get out of his Audi at work to tell me to I was riding far too fast in the wet (over taking at 50... fast eh?).

Stick coils work a treat, I used ZX9C coils they would be lucky to be 1/4 inch longer. Leaves plenty of room for a kit type airbox.

If you fit ramair, you can bolt them onto the top of the airbox at the front under the panel that the airhoses go into. Stick coils are also a cool option, I fitted some CBR600RR coils which worked straight away thanks to an excellent wiring guide elsewhere in this forum
