Right going to be sending my frame, swingarm, wheels and a few other bits to the powdercoaters soon and I'm just wanting some info....
Has anyone dealt with chrome powdercoat before? Iv googled to no avail? I'm unsure what colour to get the frame etc done?
Also has anyone had a frame anodised? Pics if possible please?
Thanks dan

You can either polish the frame for a chrome effect or get it chromed entirely, although I'm not sure if it bonds to alluminium. don't think you can get chrome powder coating.

No such thing as chrome powder coat...............
Chrome is a metal which is applied by electrolsis (cant spell)..............I'd guess it's possible to chrome aluminium but I've never seen it done

the best your gonna get to chrome plating is cermachrome but not many places do it. Might be worth speaking to Mark at beanos for bling. http://www.beanos-nuts.co.uk/news.asp
Don't forget people there is more to the zxr400 than this forum... check out www.zxrworld.co.uk also.

No prob's (or at least there shouldn't be) chroming aluminium alloy - look at my ZRX photos.
Rocker cover , swingarm and the original eccentric cams are all chromed.
Some of the original Zeds had engine casings chromed - been chroming aluminium alloy for years.
After polishing my frame up and how easy my swingarm on the ZRX cleans up the next build just might go down that road too
Cast will aslo anodize but will never have the same finish as CNC/billet made parts, again If I were to get the fork tubes redone the frame and swinger would go with them to be all done in Champagne Gold
Chrome coat might be possible as they have chromed polycarbonite crash helmets in the past - not sure if they are still available now but I did have one in the 90's, looked like a Cylone
MM!

Nothing worse than having an H and not being able to scratch it !
