TT 3D

Post by RedexRobB »

I went and saw this last night, was pretty damn good! Its a documentary covering the 2010 IOM TT.

Some good funny moment with Guy Martin, ive grown to like him quite a bit with his series 'guy on a boat'. Some great on board footage and some well know footage of accidents there.

All in all id give it 8/10.

Had to pay extra for the 3D but fortunately i have a cinema card so that was all i had to pay.

I'm wondering if this was on for one night only nationwide? I had been looking out for it and just noticed it was on last night in my area - one night only. As the time wasn't ideal I looked around to go elsewhere on another day but everywhere was showing it only last night :smt017 Anyway, me and the missus got organised and went and I'd agree with Rob, excellent film and well worth it. She's not into bikes at all and really enjoyed it too, so I guess that kinda has to be a recommendation in itself.

I thought it lost a bit of steam about halfway through with the footage of race week. Too many similar scenes of bikes racing. They could have done with some more locations and angles to avoid repetition. But just as I thought it was about to conk out it picked itself up again and gathered pace to the finish.

I was particularly impressed that they didn't go with any stereotypes. There was none of this hard-man biker crap. The riders were portrayed as ordinary blokes with day jobs and families who just race bikes rather than fishing. The study into their attitudes about the dangers was interesting and I think I gained a real insight. Having marshalled at the TT in the 90s several times and looked after one seriously injured rider whilst waiting for the helicopter I thought they really got to the heart of it all, it really struck a chord with me.

Top film. If you've missed it hopefully it will come around again. If not, you missed a real treat. And the 3D was awsome.

Yeah it did run out of steam half way. I'm wondering if it is one night only now as the cinema was rammed with people, didn't expect that at all. Girlfriend enjoyed it too.

Made me chucke when guy martin was talking about liking sex but not as much as biking. Then came out with 'im not gay or nowt' whole cinema erupted in laughter. There were loads of moments like that, and don't get that very often in the cinema these days and I go quite regularly too.

I went and saw it last night, thought it was pretty good to be fair. I've been told that last night was a preview and it will be shown proper from friday.
