Mines at 70,000 with nothing but a new head gasket and valve clearance. You must have picled up a pup lol.

if you bought one of the latest zxr400s 1999/2000 you are likely to get problems, lets not forget although not looking as dated as some bikes of the same era the zxr400 is at least 9/10 years old now.
Don't forget people there is more to the zxr400 than this forum... check out www.zxrworld.co.uk also.

I've got over 60 thousand kilometers on my ZXR 400 now, no major worries other than my cold starting issues.

I hope for the SV forums you do something about learning to spell, or they're also gonna have problems understanding you...
Vard.

Mmmmm , I buy a non-runner that sat for 3yrs.

With fresh fuel , half cleaned carb's and charged battery I got it running next day.

Fully strip it down and re-build and runs sweet as a nut - indeed, very unreliable :smt005

Good luck on what ever bike you choose - looks like your going to need it :smt002

MM!

I can understand what he means, I mean, it would seem unreliable if you buy a dog of a bike and it spends more time in for repairs than actually being ridden. Unfortunate, really.

It''s why I'd never buy a suzuki on the basis all suzukis from 1997 I have known have issues. All of them . From the GSXR 600 S RAD to the new Gladius. All got something wrong with them. Like, they are made by suzuki...

Some people don't know how to ride a bike well, so think it's the bike that is the problem.
I have become a better rider in this past year alone, from riding different bikes.

But I still love my ninja!
