Re: Cam Chain
No idea............................but why would you need to know ?
If you've got a H and need a camchain buy a H camchain
and if you've got a L and need a camchain buy a L camchain.

In Aus, local shop only has a H chain, may take a few weeks to get an L chain in.

Re: Cam Chain
Weeks !
Even the very worst Kawasaki dealer here could do much better than that.
You could try Mori Man he's a mod on the forum and is in Japan he might be able to send you a new camchain and have it with you in days.
I could even get one to you but there would be a cost with getting it to you quickly either way.
It could well be that a H camchain is the same...................I'm sure someone might know for certain however I woouldn't just take a chance you could end up with a very broken engine.
There are also after market pattern camchains available for the ZXR 400...............but again I'd not use one myself

Re: Cam Chain
more...........................
Just checked a pattern parts website and they list different camchains for H and L model
From memory a genuine camchain is about £20 sterling.....................the pattern ones I've found are £55 sterling

Re: Cam Chain
if nothing else that proves my long held point about pattern parts not only are they of potentially lesser quaility but they are not always the best value.........................

Re: Cam Chain
I would of thought they are the same..
I cant think of why they would be different... my engines are a total mixup of H and L that if they were different chains id probs be buggered
but, i cant say for 100% deffo like!
